EXPAND YOUR INTUITION: KUNDALINI WORKSHOP WITH GONG RELAXATION with Gosia Gianpreet Kaur

Intuition_1106.jpg

To live by your soul means to listen to your Intuition. Your intuition is the voice of your own inner Teacher that guides you from darkness (unconsciousness) into Light (expanded consciousness). Kundalini Yoga teaches us ways to activate and trust our intuition.

The ancient practice of Kundalini Yoga helps you live a joyous, courageous, and fulfilling life. It does this by waking up the Kundalini energy in the body which lays dormant in the spine. When awakened, this energy brings an array of positive benefits. In this sound healing workshop, we will meditate with sacred mantras, using sound to activate the energy centers, and vibration to stimulate and awaken higher states of awareness.

AN INTRODUCTION TO VIPASSANA MEDITATION with Colleen Kerns

The calm and steady mind is our most dependable and enduring ally through all of the change we can neither alter nor avoid. This workshop can benefit both those who currently have an inconsistent or possibly unsatisfactory meditation practice, as well as anyone wanting to start a practice, but may be confused by too many different methods and techniques. Vipassana (a special way of seeing, often referred to as Insight Meditation) is a method of meditation that was taught by the Buddha and his followers. It is a non-sectarian, practical, and scientific method, which relies only on the observation of one's own reality and not on outside or imagined sources. There is no reliance on beads, mantras, images, or other rituals. Buddha taught that this particular method probed at a much deeper level - the source where much of the mental reactivity arises.

COMMUNITY-STYLE ACUPUNCTURE FOR WELL-BEING (HOLIDAY EDITION!) with Katy Hogan

Happy holiday season! Thanksgiving has already passed, and the rest of the winter celebrations are right around the corner.  Hooray!

Oh wait, what’s that you say? You’re feeling a little overwhelmed already? Travel arrangements have you in a tizzy; the gift list (not to mention the grocery list) is ever-expanding; the house needs a deep clean & decorating; and don’t even get me started on the upcoming family fireworks!

Here’s the good news: community-style group acupuncture session is back!  Come chill out, de-stress, and maybe even treat yourself to a well deserved cup of tea & a cookie.

As in previous acupuncture happy hours, you can drop in anytime 2:00-3:30pm, set up your mat, lie down and relax. As you settle in, the acupuncturist will come over to you and choose a few simple points on your hands, feet, ears, and/or head to help decrease stress, ground and center you, improve your energy, and bring your body and mind back into alignment.  Needles will be retained for 15-35 minutes. When you’re ready for your needles to be removed, simply let the acupuncturist know by raising your hand or telling her as she walks by.

Due to time and logistical constraints, treatments cannot be tailored to address individual/specific concerns.
